IF THERE IS NO SINGLE TICKET WINNER ON SATURDAY OR SUNDAY, MONDAY’S RAINBOW SIX POOL EXPECTED TO APPROACH THE $3 MILLION MARK
ARCADIA, CA (May 26, 2023)—In addition to a full complement of Memorial Day weekend stakes action and activities, there will be a mandatory payout in Santa Anita’s 20 cent Single Ticket Rainbow Pick Six Jackpot on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29. Additionally, Santa Anita will guarantee a $1 million payout to any Single Ticket winner this Saturday and *Sunday.
*Fans are advised that if there is a Single Ticket winner on Saturday, the $1 million guarantee is no longer valid on Sunday, May 28.
Additionally, if there is no Single Ticket winner on Saturday and Sunday, Monday’s total Rainbow Pick Six is expected to approach the $3 million mark—with a mandatory payout in place.
With nine races carded, Saturday’s 20 cent Rainbow Six will begin with race four, which has an assigned post time of 2:41 PT. Two graded stakes, the Grade III, $100,000 Daytona and the Grade II, $200,000 Triple Bend will be included as races seven and eight.
On Sunday, Gold Rush Day at Santa Anita will offer a 10-race program, highlighted by five stakes for California-bred or sired horses. Leg one in Sunday’s Rainbow Six is the fifth race, the $100,000 Melair Stakes, which has an assigned post time of 3:15 PT.
The $150,000 Snow Chief and the $100,000 Thor’s Echo, to be run as Sunday’s eighth and ninth races, will also be included in the Rainbow Six.
On Memorial Day, Monday, a 10-race program will be highlighted by three Grade I stakes, the $400,000 Gamely, the $500,000 Shoemaker Mile and the $400,000 Hollywood Gold Cup, which have been carded as races five, seven and eight.
First post time over the three-day holiday is at 1 p.m., with admission gates opening at 11 a.m.
