FREE GOLD LINE SHUTTLE AVAILABLE DURING BREEDERS' CUP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
ARCADIA, Calif. (Aug. 28, 2009)—The Oak Tree Racing Association and Breeders’ Cup Limited have announced free Gold Line shuttle bus service will once again be available to fans during this year’s Breeders’ Cup World Championships on Nov. 6 and 7. The shuttle buses will provide service to Santa Anita Park from the Metro Gold Line at Sierra Madre Villa Station in East Pasadena.
All MTA riders will receive free Oak Tree visors when they show their Metro Rail ticket or Metro Monthly Pass upon arriving at Santa Anita.
On Friday, Nov. 6, buses will provide continuous service between Santa Anita and the Sierra Madre Villa Station between 8 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Gold Line Trains will arrive at the station every eight minutes.
On Championship Saturday, Nov. 7, buses will be provided from the Gold Line Station to and from Santa Anita between the hours of 7 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. Trains will arrive at the station on Saturday every 12 minutes.
Shuttle buses on both days will drop off patrons at Santa Anita, just outside the East Admissions Gate. Fans are assured that additional buses will be provided if necessary.
Santa Anita’s admission gates will open at 9 a.m. on Nov. 6 and at 8 a.m. on Nov. 7.
Fans en route to Santa Anita from the Gold Line Station will be directed to the ground floor, berth #4 for free shuttle service to the racetrack.
