(March 30, 2014)—Santa Anita Park has announced that it will conduct its first-ever Santa Anita Derby Millionaire Contest in conjunction with Saturday’s Grade I, $1 million Santa Anita Derby. One lucky fan will be selected prior to the Derby and Santa Anita will place a $5,000 win bet on the horse he or she has selected. Should that horse win, the money, including the $5,000 bet, will go to the winner and should that horse win the Kentucky Derby, Preakness and Belmont Stakes, a $1 million grand prize will be awarded.

ARCADIA, Calif. (March 30, 2014)—Favored Fury Kapcori pounced on pacesetter Appealing Tale going to the far turn and gutted out a game three quarters of a length win under Rafael Bejarano in Sunday’s $75,000 Santana Mile Stakes for older horses at Santa Anita, getting the distance in 1:34.50.
