Position Title: Armed Uniformed Security Officer
Department: Security Department
Part-time Union seasonal employment with option to fill future full-time openings.

Responsibilities:

1. Observe and report any incidents.
2. Protect Santa Anita's patrons, property and interest.
3. Work directly with the general public.
4. Enforce any applicable laws and/or company policies.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must possess valid driver’s license
• Must possess California Consumer Affairs Guard and Gun Permit
• Must be able to provide personal equipment
• 1 to 2 years experience in armed Security work, preferred
• Be able to pass physical and drug test
• Must be able to speak, write and communicate clearly in English
• Will be required to join Union after working 30 days and will have a 60 day probationary period

Patron Service Department

Title: Patron Service Docent/Representative
Reports To: Operations
Part-Time - Must be flexible with hours.

Summary of Responsibilities: The Patron Service Docent/Representative's primary responsibilities are to conduct tours of the facility and to help our customers with any questions or problems they may have.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Reports to work and signs in at the scheduled time.
• Check assignments and obtain necessary supplies.
• Must be able to conduct tours (with and without a microphone) of the barn area and frontside.
• Must be able to handle large groups of children.
• Must keep accurate records of race results.
• Must have excellent penmanship.
• Provide general information and directions to patrons, as requested.
• Read all materials placed in folder in order to become familiar with all upcoming events.
• Familiarizes self with duties of various Patron Service positions in order to provide coverage at all locations.
• Report any problems encountered to Patron Service Supervisor.
• Read through daily racing program to be well versed on the current day's racing information.
• Acquire full knowledge of the Rules and Regulations of Santa Anita Park.
• Become thoroughly familiar with Turf Club information and all dress code restrictions.
• Must be able to follow instructions.
• Must be computer literate and able to work with the Golden State Rewards Network.
• Supports Santa Anita's commitment to customer satisfaction and service, and always remembers to smile and be pleasant.

Mobile Food & Beverage Vendor
Department: Food & Beverage
Title: Mobile Vendor
Reports To: Manager – Bars and Concessions
Principal Function: Provide retail sales of snack food items and beverages via non-fixed sales locations. Locations include portable carts and stands throughout the entire property along with various hawking trays and other containers. Products sold include, but are not limited to pre-packaged snacks and beverages, hot dogs, draught beer, fountain soft drinks, pretzels, churros and other similar items. Fluent command of English is a must.

Rate of Pay: $7.25/hour
Minimum Age: 18 years
Minimum Call: 4 hours

Uniform: White shirt with collar, khaki pants, black or brown belt, white athletic shoes, white socks, red vending apron with change pockets, red baseball cap.

Seniority: Separate seniority roster from other seniority rosters

Duties:

• Report at scheduled time to the Concessions Office to receive cart or vending assignment and equipment.
• Receive and verify opening cash fund.
• Receive and verify opening inventory of product to be sold that day.
• Arrange and merchandise product in an attractive manner that is maintained throughout the shift to promote sales.
• Use proper sales techniques to aggressively vend all assigned products in the assigned area.
• Perform accurate cash handling for all transactions, always giving correct change.
• Maintain a positive, helpful and courteous attitude at all times toward both guests and employees.
• Replenish products as needed by following prescribed receiving and verification policies and procedures.
• At end of shift, return remaining inventory and accurately balancing cash received to product sold.
• Secure cash, inventory and equipment per department policy and procedures.
